The Thuraya multi-channel network simulator is a scalable system to allow for laboratory or field simulation of the GMR-1 Mobile satellite network. The system operates using PC control on a USB interface to allow fully functional simulation of up to 4 spot beams. Each spot beam incorporates FCCh, BCCh, AGCh, DCCh, FACCh, RACh, and TCh channels. The system implements all position verification and location update functions as well as TMSI allocation/re-allocation, mobile identity, and IMSI attach/detach functions.
