Technical Services
The SR Technologies’ Technical Services team performs a diverse range of duties. Drawing from a vast array of technical and operational experiences, the team is able to contribute to the company’s products from the early design phase, all the way to customer training and development. Technical Services has the unique role of being able to test and use the products as complete systems in practical and realistic environments. After testing in various scenarios, feedback on the design and functionality of the products is provided to the design teams and engineers for consideration.
The Technical Services department consists of several units; Quality Assurance, TARFU Marine, RF Technicians, and Field Technicians. Each unit contributes different expertise and assets to testing of SRT’s products. The units work together to create Concept of Operations (ConOps) exercises. ConOps are designed to create realistic scenarios based on the customer’s requirements. Technical Services assures the customer’s that the equipment they purchase has been designed and tested to their specific needs.
Collateral duties of Technical Services consist of training new and existing SR Technologies employees, supporting all other departments in their unit testing, and on-site product training for the customers.
Training
SRT’s Technical Services team provides comprehensive training for all of its products as well as basic tradecraft for a wide range of related disciplines. Courses consist of technical theory of wireless communication, telecom and data networks as well as field operations. Trends within the industries are also covered with the most current information available.
Thorough courses are designed to show various platforms in realistic scenarios. SRT Technical Services has a state of the art training facilities with secure class room settings and simulation equipment taking advantage of the two wireless test beds on site. Class size is intentionally kept low to ensure adequate hands on training for all students. Outside the class room, training is also conducted with realistic field exercises.
SRT maintains supporting relationships with several of the well known institutions providing training services in I/O and Tech Ops.
Training can be conducted at our facilities, or on location. Instructors maintain TS-SCI level clearances and can accommodate CONUS or OCONS training.
Logistics
Technical Services can provide storage and maintenance of customer’s equipment at our secure facility. Strict preventive maintenance schedules ensure that all equipment can be ready for deployment instantly. Upon a 24 hour notice, equipment will be field tested, charged, and shipped to location.
Field Support
Technical Services consists of subject matter experts in the wireless communication fields. With TS-SCI clearance, support crews can be deployed CONUS or OCONUS for direct mission support. While deployed, the team will maintain equipment and assist in pre-deployment set up, mission operations, and post analysis of data.
Test and Evaluation
Technical Services provides a crucial role in developing all of SRT’s products. Field experience and operation knowledge is brought to the earliest design phases of tactical products. Throughout a product’s development life cycle, it is constantly brought to the field and run through intensive and realistic scenarios.
Technical Services accommodates testing on several platforms. Ground assets include a large test van equipped with secure communications, versatile antenna configurations and ample space for equipment. M/V SNAFU is a 62’ marine platform with full electronics and long distance range. SNAFU has a large open deck and a spacious enclosed cabin for test equipment and gear. Airborne testing can also be accommodated in fixed and rotary wing aircraft.
